This is the second radio concept in the "Onami Radio Company" Series. For this design, I went with a retro-future aesthetic. It's form is inspired by late 80's, early 90's electronics. Notably, the back casing shares similarities with the original Gamboy.
The screen is an original take on the standard radio user interface. Instead of using the common linear station selector design, I chose to visualize all radio station frequencies within a grid array. The orange selector darts to each stations given location within the array, while large bold typography clearly shows what station has been selected. I imagine these small animated features would give this radio a premium feel in a late 80's, early 90's environment.
